Massimo Ricciardo

Massimo Ricciardo studied at Accademia delle Belle Arti in Florence and lives and works in Turin. His artistic practice addresses questions related to social phenomenons and interactions, memory and history. Ricciardos art works are inspired by the notion of travel, displacement and transition of human movements in our contemporary world. He often uses archival materials, video, sound and photography within larger installation settings. He exhibited his work among others at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institute, Florence (2017/18); at the exhibition 'Luther and the Avantgarde' at Karlskirche, Kassel (2017); at Kunsthaus, Dresden (2016); Palazzo Donà Brusa, 56th Venice Biennale (2015);  Das Weisse Haus, Kunstverein Wien (2014); Pavillion Social, Kunstverein Lucca (2014); Raffaele De Grada Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, San Gimignano (2013).
